FC Cincinnati mutually part ways with Regattin - "Thank you to everybody"
FC Cincinnati have mutually part ways with Adrien Regattin due to personal reasons, the club announced on Friday. The 29-year-old leaves the club after only seven months and six days.
“Our greatest priority is to focus on the wellbeing of all of our players and staff,” said FC Cincinnati general manager Gerard Nijkamp. “Adrien spoke to us about the possibility of stepping away from the club because of a family situation and we concluded that this would be the best possible solution for everybody. We are appreciative for all Adrien did for FC Cincinnati and we wish him all the best in his future.”
“I want to say thank you to everybody at FC Cincinnati for giving me an opportunity to represent the Orange and Blue,” Adrien Regattin said. “I had a great experience with this team and wish the club all the best.”
Regattin joined the Orange and Blue in February 2020 on a free transfer, after his contract with Turkish side Akhisarspor was terminated in August 2019. He made 11 appearances across all competitions, recording two assists. The former Moroccan international made his debut for FC Cincinnati on March 1, 2020 in an MLS game against New York Red Bulls (2-3).
