Arsenal have added Hoffenheim’s Florian Grillitsch to their list of summer targets and are prepared to compete with Champions League clubs for the Austria international.
Grillitsch, 26, is expected to be among the more high-profile Bosmans when the window opens, with the contract at his Bundesliga club expiring in the next two months when he will join the likes of Paul Pogba and Antonio Rudiger in assessing free-transfer options.
With Mohamed Elneny’s deal expiring at the Emirates Stadium, Grillitsch has been considered as a player to bolster their midfield. Everton and Leeds United have also been monitoring his situation at Hoffenheim where he has been a regular for five seasons after starting his career at Werder Bremen.
